Spring passes and one remembers one’s innocence.
Summer passes and one remembers one’s exuberance.

Rejuvenating

billwatterson

Shutting off the thought process is not rejuvenating; the mind is like a car battery – it recharges by running.  Bill Watterson

William BoydBillWatterson II (born July 5, 1958) is an American cartoonist and the author of the comic strip Calvin and Hobbes, which was syndicated from 1985 to 1995. Watterson stopped drawing Calvin and Hobbes at the end of 1995 with a short statement to newspaper editors and his readers that he felt he had achieved all he could in the medium. Watterson is known for his negative views on licensing and comic syndication and his move back into private life after he was done drawing Calvin and Hobbes. Dream

Gregory_Peck4

You have to dream, you have to have a vision, and you have to set a goal for yourself that might even scare you a little because sometimes that seems far beyond your reach. Then I think you have to develop a kind of resistance to rejection, and to the disappointments that are sure to come your way.  Gregory Peck

Eldred Gregory Peck (April 5, 1916 – June 12, 2003) was an American actor. One of the world’s most popular film stars from the 1940s to the 1960s, Peck continued to play major film roles until the late 1970s. His performance as Atticus Finch in the 1962 film To Kill a Mockingbird earned him the Academy Award for Best Actor. He had also been nominated for an Oscar for the same category for The Keys of the Kingdom (1944),The Yearling (1946), Gentleman’s Agreement (1947) and Twelve O’Clock High (1949). Other notable films he appeared in include Spellbound (1945), The Paradine Case (1947), Roman Holiday (1953), Moby Dick (1956) (and its 1998 miniseries of the same name), The Guns of Navarone (1961), Cape Fear (1962) (and its 1991 remake of the same name), How the West Was Won (1962), The Omen (1976) and The Boys from Brazil(1978).

Living

Audrey_Hepburn_1956

Living is like tearing through a museum. Not until later do you really start absorbing what you saw, thinking about it, looking it up in a book, and remembering – because you can’t take it in all at once.    Audrey Hepburn

Audrey Hepburn (born Audrey Kathleen Ruston; 4 May 1929 – 20 January 1993) was a British actress and humanitarian. Recognised as a film and fashion icon, Hepburn was active duringHollywood’s Golden Age. She was ranked by the American Film Institute as the third greatest female screen legend in the history of American cinema and was inducted in to the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame. She is also regarded by some to be the most naturally beautiful woman of all time.

I can really appreciate this, I have been so many places, seen so many amazing things it has not been until recently that I really am amazed at my life, at the time is was just do, do, and do some more.  Maybe that is the true wisdom of age.
