Attitude

I’d like to get out of Philadelphia. I don’t care for the people or their attitude, although they don’t bother me or my play. But maybe the Phillies can get a couple of broken bats and shower shoes for me.    Richie Allen

Richard Anthony Allen (March 8, 1942 – December 7, 2020) was an American professional baseball player. During his fifteen-year-long Major League Baseball (MLB) career, he played as a first basemanthird baseman, and outfielder, most notably for the Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago White Sox, and was one of baseball’s top sluggers of the 1960s and early 1970s.

I learned about Richie Allen from this wonderful baseball song by Chuck Brodsky.
