Play

I took my play very seriously, and I got way, way lost in my play world. Michael Keaton

Michael John Douglas (born September 5, 1951), known professionally as Michael Keaton, is an American actor. He is known for his leading roles in a wide variety of genre films. He has received numerous accolades, including a Primetime Emmy Award and two Golden Globe Awards, in addition to nominations for an Academy Award and a BAFTA Award. In 2016, he was named Officer of Order of Arts and Letters in France.
Keaton first appeared on TV in the Pittsburgh public television programs Where the Heart Is and Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood (1975). For Mister Rogers he played one of the “Flying Zookeeni Brothers”[16] and served as a full-time production assistant.[17] (In 2003, after Fred Rogers‘ death, Keaton hosted a PBS memorial tribute, Fred Rogers: America’s Favorite Neighbor;[18] in 2018, he hosted a 50th anniversary special of the series for PBS, Mister Rogers: It’s You I Like.

I wonder if he took this sentiment from Mr. Rogers, where Mr. Keaton worked as his first job in television.  Mr. Rogers “Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play IS serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.”

But if the Miles Mitchell Mysteries ever gets made into a Disney+ series I would like Michael Keaton to play a role, perhaps in The Missing Train Case as the friend looking to scatter his friends’ ashes in the appropriate place.

Witty observation, disparaging remark, question for A.A., well this is your chance.
