Being a writer without an Agent or a Publishing deal means you have to promote yourself. Hand out cards for your website, or e-mail anyone who might like your stories, and whatever else you can think of.
It is a bit tiresome, but hopefully rewarding in the long run.
But if you have fantastic friends like I do, they help you. A possible big help was from my friend Gary. He went and met Kevin Smith even though he is not a huge fan like I am and gave him one of my Miles Mitchell Mystery business cards.
Kevin may never visit the site, he may never read any of my stuff, but my friend tried to promote me and that means so much to me.
