The Bible contains more true sublimity, more exquisite beauty, more pure morality, more important history, and finer strains of poetry and eloquence than can be collected from all other books, in whatever age or language they may have been written. William James
Another person whom I had no idea who he was so, I did very little research and found the following:
William James (January 11, 1842 – August 26, 1910) was an American philosopher and psychologist who had trained as a physician. He was the first educator to offer a psychology course in the United States.
He took up medical studies at Harvard Medical School in 1864. He took a break in the spring of 1865 to join naturalist Louis Agassiz on a scientific expedition up the Amazon River, but aborted his trip after eight months, as he suffered bouts of severe seasickness and mild smallpox. He finally earned his M.D. degree in June 1869, but never practiced medicine. James spent almost his entire academic career at Harvard as a teacher.
James interacted with a wide array of writers and scholars throughout his life, including his godfather Ralph Waldo Emerson, Mark Twain, Horatio Alger, Jr., and Sigmund Freud.

James also wrote the classic book, “The Psychology of Religion” which was used by many cultural anthropologists for awhile.
